If non citizens shouldn't vote in your countries, then straights shouldn't vote on gay marriage and cis people shouldn't vote on trans bathroom bills
For the same exact reason: it doesn't affect you
@dragon Mm, I get the logic here, but I have come to hate the "non citizens aren't affected by elections so shouldn't vote" really physically viscerally, even when seeing it in jest :/
@JubalBarca oh yeah no it is absolutely garbage reasoning, like non citizens whether inside the country or abroad are more affected if anything then the straights
Like who the fuck decides to bomb their people and deny them rights? Certainly not them
@dragon Mm. I mean, I'd say that non citizens inside a given country (those outside varies a lot by the country's size/power status) are often affected way more by elections than the voting citizens, let alone the near zero effect of whether some people with matching genders want to be legally a family. As a migrant one very much exists and gets to keep your home and life at the pleasure of the national govt, and a lot of governments like reminding us of that. Repeatedly.
@JubalBarca fucking yes you've said it better than I could ever have thank you
